The Viking Braids Difference

All of our braiding hair is washed twice to remove any chemicals added during the manufacturing process. We soak the hair in vinegar then wash it with wig shampoo.

If you’ve ever had your hair braided and it started itching really bad, it’s because the hair was not washed and you’re alergic to the chemicals.

We wash our brushes and combs with soap and water after each use. Then they’re soaked in barbicide. We do this process whether we are at an event or in the salon.

We use different products based on hair type and style.

Our products include: braiding gel, spray wax, braid setting mousse, detangler and hair spray.

Hei Hei is the toy chicken that I have for the kiddos. I use the toy to make them feel comfortable and also if they feel pain, they squawk it at me. Having Hei Hei creates a very fun environment and it’s also way for the kids to communicate with me comfortably.

How long does it take?

- It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on the style you choose.

How long do they last?

- Most of our braiding styles can last up to a week to two weeks, depending on how you maintain it.

Can you braid with extensions?

- No I cannot braid with extensions due to the fact that they will show through with a braided style.
